  • "Didn't expect to look forward to washing my hair so much. It's like when the hairdresser washes it for you, I actually close my eyes. I'm in the shower an extra five minutes now and I don't even care. i use it every single wash."

    Cassidy
  • "I have thick 3a curls and no matter how much I scrubbed with my fingers my roots always felt coated and greasy by day 2. First wash with this and my scalp felt properly clean for the first time in ages."

    Anna
  • "I didn't think I'd love this as much as i do. It's so easy to use and feels like it relaxes my whole head and my facial muscles. I think it makes my roots look more volumous too!"

A proper head massage, every single wash day

It's the same head massage you get at the salon basin (the bit of the appointment everyone secretly goes for). Now it's in your shower.

Now it's in your shower. One extra minute on wash day, easily the best one.

    Cleans what fingers can't

Touching your scalp is easy; deep cleaning it isn't. Gel, cream, dry shampoo and your scalp's own oils cake on at the roots between washes, and soft fingertips and a rinse won't lift them.

The silicone tips do what fingertips can't: target and lift that caked-on build-up while your shampoo's in, so it rinses away.

Your wash day, from the roots up

It slots in as step one of the routine: Curl Shampoo at your scalp, massager in slow circles, rinse. That's the clean slate. Everything after works better on freshly cleared roots:

Curl Conditioner mid-lengths to ends, Curl Cream, Styling Gel, and the Define Brush to bring the curl clumps together.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Any pattern, waves to coils. Styling tools have to suit your curl type. This one works under your hair, at the scalp: the one place every curl pattern has in common.

It's built for wash day, with shampoo. If you just want the head-massage feeling between washes, gentle dry use at the scalp is fine. It's a massager, not a brush, so it isn't moving through your lengths.

Different silicone entirely. The silicones we keep out of the Curl Shampoo and Conditioner are liquid ingredients that coat your hair and build up wash after wash. These tips are solid silicone rubber, the same sort of material as a kitchen spatula: soft, flexible and inert. Nothing rubs off onto your hair or scalp. The tool touches your hair; it doesn't put anything in it.

It shouldn't. The tips are rounded and flexible, and you're making small circles at the scalp rather than dragging anything through your curls. If you meet a knot, lift out and move over; don't pull.

Yes. The tips are soft, flexible and rounded. For younger kids, a grown-up doing the massaging usually works best. (And is usually requested.)

Rinse the tips, shake it off, let it air-dry tips-up out of the shower spray. Bamboo prefers not to sit in water.
